During the last few weeks I've had one of the most amazing experiences of my life, preparing a concert with Alex and then performing with her on Aug 7 and 8th. Since those concerts there has been a steady stream of letters, cards, flowers, and people stopping me and saying how they were blown away by this event.

I just started out as a fan on this fan forum--amazing where that has taken me. Our shared mission of lifting others through music seems to be coming to pass. Yesterday we had another amazing experience.  This was my post on Facebook yesterday:

Today I could not be more proud of our friend Alex Sharpe as she appeared as vocal soloist with the Mormon Tablernacle Choir. Proud--not just for her performance, but for how and why she does her music and how she treats her fans and other musicians. All this I have seen very close up. The Tabernacle Choir is also lucky to have experienced this with her. Something tells me that they are not finished with her.
Today all of Ireland should be proud of this woman whom we are honored to call our friend. Thank you Alex for all of the wonderful experiences you have given me and my family, and what you have given our valley. We will be blessed for years to come for what you have selflessly given us. I am at a loss--how do you thank somebody who has helped so many people, including me, to live better, be stronger, and to reach higher? I don't know, but we can honor you by doing the same for others with our own talents. Thank you Alex, for a wonderful few weeks, and have a great re-entry back into normal life!! We love you!!

Hello to all,
Today Alex announced that she'll be the guest soloist on Music and the Spoken Word, the weekly televised broadcast of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, on August 16, at 9:30 MDT. This is an honor given to very few performers in the world. We are proud of her! This is an incredible ensemble to perform with, and shows the level of respect that Alex has from her peers, in addition to her fans. This is the link to the production:

Dave, you getting to meet her is not only a great event for you, but a great benchmark for this fan forum! I was SOOO happy that happened. So fitting for you and you are so deserving of that.

I still feel that I must be dreaming as I have been practicing A LOT for the music that I'll be performing with Alex here in Logan, UT, August 7 and 8. One of the pieces is a medley that I arranged. It is beyond surreal that my all time favorite performing artist asked me to perform with her and we'll be debuting something that I wrote. Never in my life has something so improbable happened to me!  Also, I remember seeing a video clip of Alex singing You Raise Me Up and thinking how awesome that was. Now I'll be accompanying her along with 2 choirs and two other soloists as we do that number together. But the real reason behind all of this is not just to give me that experience, but to lift up others. I know personally many people whose lives have been positively touched by Alex, and many more will be, much of it due to the groundwork that Dave has laid here.

By the way, you never know, Alex may have more to announce soon, stay tuned, you just never know.......................................

A great story with a most happy ending Dave!  I am so glad you got to meet Alex this tour!  You certainly deserved this! A faithful fan of hers all this time!

And a fine person and performer such as deserves to have such devoted fans as yourself!  Thank you for sharing with us!  Smiley
